/Laureates 2009

In 2009 the projects were submitted to the following Architectural Award categories:

  • Private House
  • Habitable interior
  • Public Place Interior
  • Building / onstruction

The projects in all categories except Building / onstruction project are considered for two nominations:

  • Traditions
  • Innovations

Private House

  • Traditions. The prize was given to Peter Kostelov for a minimalistic wooden project .
  • Innovation. The prize was taken by Zane Tetere.

Habitable interior

  • Traditions. Nina Prudnikova and Pavel Burmakin for Berlins apartment interior in the ecoethnic minimalism style
  • Innovation. In innovation nomination Peter Zellner was awarded for his deconstructivist work in Los Angeles.

Public Place Interior

  • Traditions. Sergey Tchoban became the winners in the nomination. He submitted an interior of the European Center of Culture in Berlin
  • Innovation. In innovation nomination the prize was given to Oleg Popov for mixed-use complex Delovoi dom Znamenka.

Building / onstruction

  • In the new nomination Building/Construction Shuhei Endo was awarded for the project of an athletic and life-rescuing center in Miki, Japan.

The Public Council gave his prize to Alexander Kuzmin, Sergey Barkhin and Dmitry Pshenichnikov for their interior design for the Gusar restaurant.

Special Prizes

  • Ashot Arutyunian, representing the Italian brand ARTEMIDA that offers innovative lighting solutions, presented a gift voucher for products marketed under this brand to Vladislav Savinkin, Vladimir Kuzmin and Ekaterina Taminzarova for their project of a 3,290-sqm office in Moscow.
  • Konstantin Medvedkin, representative of the Italian furniture brand FRANCESCO MOLON, presented a special gift to Elena Tokmacheva, Katy Ryzhova and Peteris Lauchka-Lovchko for their classical urban estate covering the area of 850 sq m.
  • The company manufacturing the VELUXE dormers in the person of its chief architect Henrik Norlander Smith extolled the Evergreen community by Anton Mosin as their best project.
