Publishing House «Salon Press» presents an international award in the context of town-planning, private houses architecture, interior design for residential and public premises.

What is Architectural Award?

Architectural Award is yearly conferred on the best Russian architectural and interior design projects, and it has got an international status since last year. It means that architects and designers from all over the world can submit their realized projects to this prestigious competition.

The competitors’ entries can be submitted to the following Competition categories:

• Private House;
• Habitable interior;
• Public Place Interior;
• Building / Сonstruction.

The projects in all categories except Building / Сonstruction project are considered for two nominations:

• Traditions;
• Innovations.

The most brilliant project will receive the Grand Prix.

Traditionally the Public Jury Award will be conferred and out-of-competition students contest “Star’s House” will be held this year.

What is the need in Architectural Award?

Architectural community represented by the Professional Jury selects the best projects and designers/architects of the year to show the development level of Russian modern private architecture and actual trends in this new Russian sphere. Architectural Award sets high standards of quality, raises professional prestige of a private architecture and stimulates new projects creation.

What is Architectural Award peculiar for?

The Professional Jury does not contain a clubby bonhomie of architectural personalities. The Professional Jury is formed as a result of a free choice of architects, designers and journalists – professionals in the sphere of architecture and interior design. In 2002 the Professional Council onsisted of more than 80 architects who selected the contest winners. In 2003 it was a mixture of 127 specialists including the previous year contest nominees and those who were offered by members of Council 2002. Since 2004 number of Professional Council members is limited to 100 persons.

It was concluded in 2007 to rename the Professional Council as the Professional Jury, the Public Council as the Public Jury, and the Presidium of the Professional Council as the Professional Council. This year the Professional Jury will include architects as well as international architecture experts.
