The grand finale of the Architectural Award - 2009
The awarding ceremony of the VIII International Contest “Architectural Award-2009” will be held on November 26 in the State Pushkin Museum. “Architectural Award” is being yearly conferred to the best projects in the field of town-planning, private architecture, residential premises and public places interiors (www.archip.ru). Architectural projects from all over the world (Japan, USA, United Arab Emirates, Spain, Germany, Italy, Lithuania, Latvia, Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Chile, Puerto Rico) participate in the contest.
The architects whose projects will outscore based on the results of secret internet-vote by the International Professional Jury will be awarded prizes.
The International Professional Jury consists of 120 competent Russian and foreign architects and designers.
The Architectural Award Nominations:
- Private house (traditions/innovations);
- Residential premises interior (traditions/innovations);
- Public Place Interior (traditions/innovations);
- Building / Construction.
The project that will outscore will be awarded the Grand Prix.
There is a special nomination of the contest – the Public Council Prize. The winners in this nomination are selected not by the professional architects, but by public members (The Public Jury). This year the following public members form the Public Jury: Marina Golub’, Victor Gusev, Tina Kandelaki, Elena Kozyreva, Petr Kuleshov, Thomas Noll, Roman Trachtenberg, etc.
The winners of the students’ contest “The Star’s House” will be rewarded during the Architectural Award-2009 Ceremony. The contest “Star’s House” is being held for the 7th time, students of the leading architectural institutes from 24 countries take part in the contest. According to the contest task the future architects create houses models for one of the celebrities: Andrey Arshavin, Mikhail Prokhorov, Uma Thurman, Barack Hussein Obama, Tina Kandelaki, Michael Schumacher.
