/Laureates 2008

In 2008, the projects were submitted to the following Architectural Award categories:

  • Private House
  • Habitable interior
  • Public Place Interior
  • Building / Ñonstruction

The projects in all categories except Building / Ñonstruction project are considered for two nominations:

  • Traditions
  • Innovations

Private House

  • Traditions. The prize was given to Alexey Rozenberg, Peter Kostelov, Dmitriy Bykov, Dmitriy Korshunov for their project of the house (size - 1530 square meters), situated near Moscow.
  • Innovation. The prize was taken by Yasuhiro Yamashita for the house «Reflection of Mineral».
  • Italian lighting design brand «Artemide» handed their own diploma to Russian winners in this nomination.

Habitable interior

  • Traditions. Netherlandish architect Marnix van der Meer got the Statuette for the apartments, placed into the reconstructed building, which had been Protestant church previously.
  • Innovation. In innovation nomination Claudio Silvestrin was awarded for his penthouse in Monte-Carlo.

Public Place Interior

  • Traditions. Tatiana Boronina and Nadejda Neslukhovskaya became the winners in the nomination. They create the classical project of their own office.
  • Innovation. In innovation nomination the prize was given to Lars Kruckeberg, Gregor Hoheisel, Alejandra Lillo, Thomas Willemeit, Wolfram Putz for the Berlin clinic's interior KU64.

Building / Ñonstruction

  • In the new nomination «Building/Construction» Norwegian architects Craig Dykers, Tarald Lundevall, Kjetil Tredal Thorsen were awarded for their project of the Theatre of the Opera and Ballet in Oslo.

The Public Council gave his prize to Nikolay Shumakov for the air-bridge «Jivopisny».

Special Prizes

  • Vera Lobanova and Alexey Lobanov get tiled diploma, made by XVIII century's technology, from salon Konzept for their «very conceptual bathroom».
  • Marina Putilovskaya was given three-day trip to Hampshire from English company Silverliving.
  • Anastasiya Smolina, the editor of Russian Domus and David Sarkisyan, the MUAR's director gave the special prize to the boldest project of this year - «Golden Orange» by Norman Foster.
